Christine West

Senior Managing Partner

  • Christine West is the Senior Managing Partner, Financial & Professional Services, in Info-Tech’s Executive Services. Christine joined Info-Tech with over 20 years of experience in Wealth Management and Life Insurance.

  • As the VP in Wealth Management & Insurance of Canada Life, Christine led a 300+ person team responsible for strategy and delivery of individual customer and advisor services technology. During her tenure, she worked to transform her organization into a product-centric delivery model while scaling DevOps capabilities.

  • As part of a $100M+ systems modernization program at Canada Life, Christine drove the migration of 15 legacy insurance and wealth management back-office systems, enabling the organization’s digital and automation roadmaps. This effort resulted in operational efficiencies, resiliency improvements, and security risk reductions and built the basis to support the client and advisor websites.

  • At Manulife Financial, as AVP of contact center technology, Christine also drove the implementation of AI/ML/RPA capabilities within Contact Centre, leveraging natural language IVR, voice biometrics, and speech analytics. Those initiatives resulted in the enablement of customer and advisor self-service, shortened response times, and built the ability for data analysis to inform product and service improvements.

  • Christine has deep experience identifying and implementing the data analytics engines that secure and drive financial systems to enable wealth managers and employees. Her content expertise includes anti-money laundering & terrorist financing systems and large-scale digital workplace programs.

  • Christine earned both her Bachelor of Economics and Master of Library & Information Science at Western University.

 

Michel Hebert 

Practice Lead

  • Michel Hébert is practice lead for Industry Research at Info-Tech Research Group. He leads a team that delivers research and advisory services tailored to the unique needs of specific industries, helping technology leaders make confident decisions and drive meaningful outcomes. A skilled facilitator and advisor, Michel supports CIOs and IT executives across public and private sectors in aligning technology strategy with business priorities.

  • Michel’s professional interests include the use of AI in cybersecurity — particularly for threat prediction and attribution — ransomware resilience, and the governance of emerging technologies. He also has a sustained focus on identity and access management, digital resilience, and improving the quality and impact of research in advisory contexts.

  • Prior to joining Info-Tech, Michel served as a faculty member at Western University and Huron University College, and as a commissioned officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Western University. Michel brings a thoughtful, systems-oriented approach to complex technology problems, always working to translate insight into action.
